We had our annual Christmas lunch at the Glover Arms in Perth this week, which was a very good turn out this year. We all met at the project beforehand for Mocktails, which we prepared from orange juice, cranberry juice, soda water and fresh fruit. All enjoyed the mocktails and the relaxed atmosphere before leaving for our lunch.
On arrival at the restaurant, we were shown to our tables and everyone appeared to be on good form, with there was lots of hilarity and banter going round the room. We then gave for our drinks order to the server, before the food was served at the table. We had pre-ordered our main course and desert, which made the experience run much smoother for everyone, as there were 21 people in our party.
We finished the day by handing out our secret Santa gifts. We nominated one of the service users to be Santa and he took on the task with great enthusiasm. This was comical with some of the group making funny faces for their photographs with Santa. This was a lovely way to end our day with everyone going having a lovely time. We fulfilled our purpose and objectives.
