This week our colleague, Denny Cormack, hung up her fleece, walking shoes and activity planner to take up a new role as retiree. With a beautiful brood of grandchildren and being very popular amongst her friends she will have no problem filling her time.
That said, Denny is keeping a toe in the Project as she has offered to volunteer, on occasions when she is free and when we need her – and all are delighted at that!
To say farewell, the service users took it upon themselves to present her with gifts, cards and farewell party. She was overwhelmed with their good wishes and very humbled.
A lovely meal together provided an opportunity for the staff to share past memories. Afternoon tea and a night out is planned – to help us wish her farewell.
We have worked with Denny for over a decade and have truly appreciated all her professional and personal support and will miss her dearly – as will the service users.
We give our thanks to Denny and our best wishes for a long and happy retirement – you deserve it Denny!
