The LI group arranged to access the All Ability Bikes at Bells Sports Centre through Live Active Leisure. This was due to there being several service users who were unable to ride a bike independently for various reasons such as confidence, fear and balance. The day started with a walk along the river towards Bells Sports Centre where the group met the instructor who showed the group the different bikes and their purposes. The group were asked questions regarding health and safety and what they should be looking out for when on the Inch. In the group, there was one individual who had worked incredibly well to lose weight by cycling on an exercise bike due to their lack of confidence and balance on an outdoor bike. They stated at the start of the session that they would not be confident to ride a bike independently. To help with their confidence they were paired on a side by side trike with a peer who was confident on bikes, this was to encourage peer support and to increase confidence.
