As this was the first week back after the Christmas and New Year holidays the service users discussed and agreed on SMART goals that they would like to achieve. Most of the service users had not heard about SMART goals and found the information given was a great way to make goals that were more achievable. During discussion, it was apparent that most service users were setting themselves unachievable goals and they would feel like they had failed and lose motivation. The SMART goals are designed to ensure that you set yourself small goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound. The service users were able to set themselves personal goals, most of them focussing on their health.
