I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
Looking back on 2021 we have all had many challenges to overcome. In fact, since the start of COVID in March 2020, we have all had our battles, sometimes with victories, sometimes defeats but as a community we have soldiered on and in some ways this journey has made us all stronger. COVID has taught us to adapt, to think differently in how we shop, communicate, socialise with people, and to look for more opportunities to help one another.
As an organisation, COVID has taught us how adaptable and diverse we really are and how much we have achieved, in terms of supporting service users in different ways – I’m even using WhatsApp video to connect with them on a daily basis – now who would have thought!
Remaining open, carrying out face to face support and then group activities – when COVID restrictions allowed, has brought about many challenges for both the staff team and our service users.
Reflecting on what we have achieved brings a smile to my face and I am very grateful to my colleagues, partners and our service users for their part in our organisations success.
We have and will continue to help and support our service users and one another, through these tough times, to manage the challenges COVID continues to bring. So if you need us, we’ll be here.
May I wish all a safe, healthy and happy Christmas and may 2022 bring us all joy and hope.
Marlow
And from the staff team – “We are sending you all our best wishes and hope to connect more in 2022”
