Today the group met with Fay, the head garden at Cambo Estate, who came to deliver a masterclass in Christmas Wreath making, a few us, yesterday went to cut holly, ivy, berries and foliage, that we could use to make the wreath. Some of us met Fay before when we had visited the walled garden at Cambo Estate. Fay started the session by giving us all a brass ring for the base, wire and then started showing us how to build/create the wreath.
We stopped to have lunch together and chat about if we were finding anything difficult, some of the wire bits were fiddly but we were helping one another with the wires. We then spoke about how we were going to start decorating our wreaths as it was going to be to individual taste, after lunch we returned to the training room to finish off the wreaths and tidy up the room. We all thought this was a good exercise, we had created something that was nice to look at but we could sell or ask for a donation for too. After the session we thanked Fay for coming and helping us, we then help Fay out to her car with the materials.
